Astwood Bank
Public footpath to Sambourne, then back up to Astwood Bank
Distance: 4.8 Miles
Duration: 2 Hours
Weather: Cold & Wet
Just me, the missus and the child for this one. I plotted a smallish walk on Memory Map, taking the public footpath just before the Bell in Astwood Bank, down to the little church opposite the Green Dragon. We then followed a path through Sambourne, through a builders yard (more like a scrap heap), up someone's drive, through their gate and over their back garden, and then up some farm land by Eastern Hill.
Not the most enjoyable of walks, but we made relatively good time. I might revisit this walk at a later date - avoid the builders yard and people's gardens, and find a few more interesting sites to visit.

01.03.08 - Redditch
01 March 2008
Redditch
Arrow Valley Lake to The Forge Museum, then back to the lake.
Distance: 5.2 miles
Duration: 2 Hours 10
Weather: Sunny & Cold
As it had been raining all night, we decided to use the tarmac paths around Arrow Valley Lake, and walk up to the Needle Museum, hoping for a tea when we got there. Except the museum was closed, so we walked back to the countryside center. It has to be said though: Who closes a museum on a Saturday ?
